Kirsten Munz Joins the Land Development Services Leadership Team

Land Development Services (LDS) has promoted Kirsten Munz, PE, AICP, to Permitting and Code Administration (PACA) Division Director. She began her new position on Monday, May 21, 2022. Munz has been part of the LDS Project Management team for the past six years. Prior to her work in LDS, she was with Fairfax County Department of Transportation for over two years. Munz is a registered civil engineer (PE) and a certified planner (AICP).

“I am excited and honored to work with the very talented team in PACA, especially in the coming months as we fully transition to the new Planning Land Use System (PLUS) and the opportunities it will provide to modernize and streamline the permitting process, benefiting both our customers and staff,” said Munz.

“Kirsten has already made a positive impact at LDS in her prior role; I look forward to the significant influence she will have as a Division Director,” said LDS Director William D. Hicks, P.E. “Many thanks to Helman Castro for his role in overseeing the Permitting and Code Administration division over the last two years.” said Hicks.
