LDS PLUS Status Update

Thank you, Land Development Services (LDS) customers, for embracing the transition to the Planning and Land Use System (PLUS) for building and site-related permits and inspections. New applications arrived minutes after PLUS went live in the early morning hours of October 31.

Due to a combination of data conversion processes from ProjectDox to PLUS and an above average number of new applications, PLUS performance lagged initially. As a result, customers are experiencing unexpected delays in the permitting process. LDS apologizes for any frustration caused by the transition to PLUS. LDS staff is hard at work trying to resolve any issues and process every application as quickly as possible. Please bear with us during this transitional period.

PLUS continues to work well for new applications

  • The public-facing side of PLUS has been working well since launch on October 31.
  • LDS customers have been successfully applying for new permits, uploading plans, scheduling inspections and paying fees through the new system.

Delays occurred due to initial PLUS performance and data conversion issues

  • Initial technical issues occurred on the staff-facing side of PLUS which caused delays in the ability of staff to process new applications and review plans efficiently.
  • Unfortunately, the conversion of data from ProjectDox to PLUS did not go smoothly. Multiple technical issues occurred in over 7,000 records. Staff are still working with the data to correct several issues.
  • The initial technical issues have been resolved and staff are making progress in reducing the delays for new applications. Progress on conversion issues continue and require manual processing. We apologize for the continued delay on projects that were started before October 21.
