LDS Revised Review ChecklistsLand Development Services’ Site Development and Inspections Division (SDID) and the Engineers and Surveyors Institute (ESI) collaborated to update several review checklists to best prepare customers for application submittals. SDID staff and ESI members revised the checklists to focus on completeness and to limit consideration of plan correctness to only items that can be evaluated objectively without engineering judgment. Authors grouped associated items including to group stormwater requirements into categories (i.e., water quality, detention, outfall, and BMP details). Additionally, authors simplified descriptive language and consolidated code references. The Gateway checklists used by the County match parallel ESI checklists. Lastly, the ESI Resubmission Plan Checklist was updated with minor editorial changes and code references. Updated checklists include:
All plans submitted for approval must include the relevant checklist. By leveraging these checklists, a design professional minimizes the need for subsequent submittals. The updated checklists are available under the “Requirements” section of each respective site record guide found in the LDS Permit Library. The revised checklist may be used immediately and is required for all initial submissions made on or after November 1, 2026.
